Revelation 22

The River of Life

Rev 22:1 And He showed Me
A pure river of water of life
Clear as crystal
Proceeding out of the throne of God
And of the Lamb

Gen_2:10 And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it
And on either side of the river
Was there the tree of life

Rev_2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

NOTE: Notice in the above verse from Genesis 2:9 that the tree of life is in the Garden of the LORD God. It has twelve types of fruit; this was to be for the twelve tribes of what was to become the nation of Israel.

Rev 22:2 There shall be no more curse
But the throne of God
And of the Lamb
Shall be in it

And His servants shall serve Him
John_1:29 The next day John saw Jesus coming unto him
And said
Behold the Lamb of God
Which takes away the sin of the World

NOTE: John_1:36 And looking upon Jesus as He walked, he said, Behold the Lamb of God!

NOTE: The word, Lamb, is never used in the apostle Paul's writings to the Gentile world. It is therefore unique to the Jews of Israel.

Rev 22:3 And there shall be no more curse
But the throne of God
And of the Lamb
Shall be in it
And His servants shall serve Him

Rev 22:4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
Rev 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God gives them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Jesus Is Coming
Rev 22:6 And He said unto Me
These sayings are faithful and true
And the Lord God of the holy prophets sent His angel to show unto His servants
The things which must shortly be done

Rev 22:7 Behold I come quickly
Blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book

NOTE: No One Knows That Day and Hour

Mat 24:36-44 But of that day and hour knows no man, no,not the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for You know not what hour your Lord doth come.
But know this, that if the good man of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Therefore be You also ready: for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man comes.

Rev 22:8- And I John saw these things
And heard them
And when I had heard and seen
I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed Me these things

Then said He unto Me
See that You do not do it
For I am Your fellow servant And of Your brethren the prophets
And of them which keep the sayings of this book
Worship God

NOTE: In the above it is said that it is the angel that talked with John, then, when John was going to kneel before the Angel He was told not to do it. This angel was the Lord Christ Jesus. He was telling John the the Father was to only one which is to be knelled down before. See verse 22:13. Jesus would not permit Himself to honor as His Father Elohim is honored.

Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene

John 20:11-22 But Mary stood without at the sepulcher weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulcher, And saw two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.
And they say unto her, Woman, why weep You? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.
And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus.

Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why do You weep? Whom do You seek? She, supposing him to be the gardener, said unto him, Sir, if You have borne Him hence, tell Me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.

Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

Jesus said unto Her, Touch Me not; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: but go to My brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto My Father, and Your Father; and to My God, and your God.

Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Jesus Appears to the Disciples

Then the same day at evening being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto Them, Peace be unto You.
And when He had so said, He showed unto Them His hands and His side. Then were the disciples glad, when They saw the Lord.

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as My Father has sent Me, even so send I you.
And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said unto Them, Receive You the Holy Spirit:

Rev 22:10 And He said unto Me
Do not seal sayings of the prophecy of this book
For the time is at hand

Rev 22:11 He that is unjust
Let him be unjust still
And he which is filthy
Let him be filthy still

And he that is righteous
Let him be righteous still
And he that is holy
Let him be holy still

And behold
I come quickly
And my reward is with Me
To give every man according as his work shall it be

Rev 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega
The beginning
And the end
The first
And the last

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments
That they may have right to the tree of life
And may enter in through the gates into the city

Rev 22:15 For without
1-Are dogs
2-And sorcerers
3-And harlot mongers
4-And murderers
5-And idolaters
6-And whosoever loves and make a lie

NOTE: Six kinds of mankind; for six is the number which pertains to man.

Rev 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches

I am the root and the offspring of David
And the bright and morning star

NOTE: Here it is shown that the angel was indeed Jesus. Then it is told that these things were written for the seven churches of Asia. Why then, does man keep desiring to put these things at a time of their choosing instead of the time for which they were written for ?

Rev 22:17-21 And the Spirit and the bride say come
And let him that understanding say come
And let him that thirst come
And whosoever will
Let him take the water of life freely

For I testify unto every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book
If any man shall add unto these things
God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy
God shall take away his part out of the book of life

And out of the holy city
And from the things which are written in this book

He which testifies these things says
Surely I come quickly
Amen

Even so
Come Lord Jesus
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all
Amen (in truth)

NOTE: From a close reading of this Book of Revelation is seen that it was written for the time in which John was still on Earth; for He was to take this writing to the seven churches in Asia. It can also be understood that these things were written to Them and not to everyone everywhere. Man has chosen to take this writing our of it's proper context and try and make it to apply to today's world. Beware, this is a judgment for such a thing!

For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.

John 15:15 -27 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knows not what his lord does: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen You, and ordained you, that You should go and bring forth fruit, and that Your fruit should remain: that whatsoever You shall ask of the Father in My name, He may give it you. These things I command you, that you love one another.

The Hatred of the World

If the world hate You, You know that it hated Me before it hated You. If You were of the world, the world would love his own: but because You are not of the world, but I have chosen You out of the world (Judeah), therefore the world hates You. Remember the word that I said unto, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute You; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also.

But all these things will they do unto you for My name's sake, because they know not Him that sent Me. I had not come and spoken unto Them, They had not had sin: but now They have no cloke for Their sin.

He that hates Me hates My Father also.
If I had not done among them the works which none other man did
They had not had sin
But now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father
But this comes to pass

That the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law
They hated Me without a cause
But when the Comforter is come
Whom I will send unto You from the Father

Even the Spirit of truth Which proceeds from the Father
He shall testify of Me

And You also shall bear witness
Because You have been with Me from the beginning
