Return To God

[In response to those world leaders, past or present, who believe themselves to be God]

Thus sayeth the Lord.

Mark 9:

34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.

35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.

These men (Pharoah to Mao) did not know God nor what is the nature of God. They thought God is an authoritarian who controls every aspect of our life. God is love. He provides the conditions of life by which we can thrive and be fruitful.

Galatians 5:

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

In previous verses Paul tells us the works of the flesh. Sorry to say, I practice too many of them.

We are in God's garden. We are like tomato plants. If the water and soil and light is right, we produce the desired fruit. When we produce useless growth, God cuts that off. If the garden is shaded by an unwanted tree, no matter how great the tree, He cuts it down for the sake of the garden.

All the empires created by these men have or will be cut down, for the sake of the elect. Any nation, so corrupt that it makes the church impossible or that persecutes His elect, will eventually be destroyed.

2 Peter 2:

6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

7 And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:

8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds)

9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

I warn us all, again. Return to God or this nation shall be destroyed.
