RESUSCITATION VS RESURRECTION
The resurrection is a person and not a theology. It is the person of Jesus that's why before his presence death cannot survive. When he got to the tomb of Lazarus with few words, he that was dead came back to life (John 11:25-44!
Now Lazarus wasn't the only one he raised from the dead. He raised Jairus daughter with the words 'Talitha Kumin' and the widow of Main could have been 'widowed' a second time when she lost her son, but Jesus brought him back to life!
So really if he was raising the dead during his lifetime what was the big deal then about him coming back to life? What was the difference between their 'resurrection' and his resurrection? Oh, a lot. As Leonard Ravenhill said:
"First: theirs had no vicarious power to it. Second: they were all called forth from the tomb, He wasn't. Third: when they came forth from the tomb they were all bound with clothes, headbands, and their feet. And we know Jesus walked out of it. He slipped out of those clothes like a... like a caterpillar slip out of a cocoon. He did not need anybody to call Him forth." Hallelujah!!!
And this third point is important: they all went back and died again! This is why every other person raised from the dead experienced resuscitation, but Jesus experienced resurrection! After he came back from the dead, he lives to die to no more. Revelation 1:18 confirms this, "I was dead but now I live forevermore!'
