Requirements For Agents Of Change

"the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there." (Genesis 39:21‭-‬22 NIV)

God had mercy on Joseph and caused him to enjoy favour before the warden. The mercy of God is indispensable if we, as children of God, will influence and transform every system where we found ourselves. We must plead for mercy, professionalism has its place and it is profitable to be competent, but the mercy of God advances a man and positions him for greatness.
Joseph, though a prisoner, took responsibility for other prisoners and the administration of the entire prison house. He was not dejected and never engaged himself in self-pity. As Christians, things may not be one hundred percent functioning in different systems where we found ourselves, despondency and self-pity will never be of help to us. We must rather press on and be agents of change in those places.

ACTION PLAN: Stop wallowing in despondency and self-pity. Request for your heavenly Father's mercy to establish His kingdom everywhere.

PRAYER: Father, deliver me from hopelessness and show me your mercy. I need your help in order to establish your will everywhere.
