What is a reprobate? There are many different explanations but I have chosen this one....An unprincipled and totally bad person. I am sure you can think of many who fit the bill.
A lot of people are bad but not totally bad but when you read the list of the characteristics of a reprobate mind in scripture, one has to go hmm, maybe they are worse than imagined.
For example, if you fornicate you are a reprobate.
If you are deceitful you are a reprobate.
If you are unforgiving you are a reprobate.
If you are disobedient to your parents you are a reprobate, an unprincipled and totally bad person.
Makes you think, doesn't it?
It has been said that when a nations moral state heads downward so does its mental state. Do I need to prove this? Don't think so. Take a look at the western nations that are in moral freefall. They are in mental freefall as well.
More than 50% of the population is suffering from depression. Being a psychologist or psychiatrist these days is a fast way to make money. Suicide is at an all-time high. And I am not going to mention all those school mass murders by a deranged individual with a shotgun.
In addition, moral myopia and mental moonbattery seem to go hand in hand. Take the case of the sex expert (an unknown drip under pressure) Deanne Carson on the ABC, who said that parents should ask their babies for permission before they change their nappies so it would set up a culture of consent early on.
Mary the mother of God as the Catholics would say, give me strength!!
As I remember it if I didn't change my kid's nappies (diapers) when they wanted it changed there would be a case of the screaming habdabs. My kids were very quick to let me know they wanted their nappy changed if I had not done it. They certainly were not members of the noise abatement society.
And do you know what, I have two lovable and adorable kids in their forties who have turned out just fine? I don't hear them saying they are totally disturbed because mummy and daddy didn't ask their permission when to change my nappy.

Actually, when I was studying sociology for a Uni degree and we were investigating parent/child relationships I read a story in a book that said a single mother brought up her son who did not believe in physical punishment. She claimed he needed to learn right from wrong through having conversations with his mother.
The son at the time of the conversation was 18 years old and the mother was asked 'So how did it go?'
'Terrible' she said. 'He is a complete monster and believes the world owes him a living and it revolves around him.'
When you are confronted with a person who calls themselves a sexuality expert, run a mile.
Actually, I am a sexuality expert. Boy meets girl. Boy hits it off with the girl. Boy and girl start to date. Boy falls in love with girl. Boy asks girl to marry him and she says yes. Boy and girl gets married. Boy and girl have a lot of loving sex. One day boy and girl produce another boy or girl. And they live happily ever after.
You can't get more expert than that.
