Nobody likes to discover they have been following tradition more so than truth. Consider that to be the reaction of a blind person lead by centuries of the previously blind feeling their way along, only to suddenly be able to see Jesus' truth over the tradition of religion, thus discovering the true nature of mankind's self proclaimed doctrines.
Should this reaction lead someone to stomp away? Or perhaps should it be an incentive to further dig into Jesus' Gospel of the Kingdom and discover that church and world were never meant to work together, but apart? The division being between Kingdom and world of man, not just between squabbling man.
