The resurrection changed the story and status of humanity. Look at the scripture here in 1 Corinthians 15:42-45
So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:42-45
Corruption gave way to incorruption. Shame gave way to glory. Weakness gave way to power! A natural body is down but a spiritual body is reaped! A living soul for a quickening spirit! This is the story of resurrection! It is the story of spiritual transactions where what ought not to be, gave way for what ought to be!
The resurrection is the story of spiritual changes for humanity!
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. Matthew 28:6-7
When the resurrection took place even the status of the master changed. They look for him where he used to be but the response was, He is not here...He is risen
As we celebrate this Easter your story is changing! Your status is changing! Men will look for you where you use to be but will discover you have risen to where you ought to be! In the name of Jesus! Amen.
The Easter story is that of newness and supernatural changes by the Spirit of God.
