Brother Paul is calling God as a witness to his intercession for the brethren. This is a challenge for us today, we need to rise up and begin to pray for one another. Here was a man that took it upon himself to present the people to God in prayers.
Today, there is a lot of murmuring, rumour-mongering and back-biting amongst us. We need to go back to the biblical principle of interceding for one another.
Passion to serve God is also dwindling among us. We need to pray to God for passion. Passion for sinners, passion for propagation of the gospel, passion for holiness and righteousness. We need more than motivation to survive this time, we need a burning passion inflamed by the Holy Spirit.
ACTION PLAN: We need to make a commitment under God to start praying for one another.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, baptize me with the Spirit of prayer and intercession for my brothers and sisters. Grant me a burning passion to serve You till the end.
