Passion Like Elijah

"Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years!" (James 5:17 NLT)

Elijah was a human being. He had the same frame as we are. Despite having human nature in him, he prayed passionately to God for a drought and God hearken to his voice. The first thing here is to know the will of God.
"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." (I John 5:14 NKJV)
What Elijah requested from God was according to His will. The people turned away from serving God unto Baal. In order to turn their hearts back to their God, he asked for a drought. He did not pray for showmanship sake, many today will like God to do things for confirmation of their callings. Before we begin to pray about a matter, we must ask God for His will. When we are fully equipped with the information about the will of God, we can then begin to pray about them.

ACTION PLAN: Are your prayer requests in accordance to His will for you?

PRAYER: Father, hear me when I call on You according to Your will. Amen.
