David was the man most intimate with God at the time, yet David was afraid when God struck Uzzah down for touching the Ark.
David reasoned that God maybe didn't want him to take the Ark to its original destination
If the Ark did not begin to fall, it may have been carried straight to David's location.
Reading this part made me realize that God doesn't always reveal everything He is doing, even to those closest to Him in prayer and in His sight.
In the end, God blesses David's decision by blessing the house the Ark was taken to by David. I find that to be a comment on our Christian liberty.
God doesn't expect us to know His perfect will at all times, but that we trust that He will uphold us in our decisions when they are guided by His word!
2 Samuel 6:1-12
