"Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit." (John 15:2 AMPC)
After accepting Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, bear fruits for Him and in Him. Let His life multiply in your life. If you were bearing fruits before but suddenly stopped due to carelessness and sin, you need to return to Him. Do not wait until the Father cut you off as a branch. Moreover, if you are in Christ and you have been bearing fruits, by His grace, the good news is that the Father will purge and prunes you. He wants you to bear more fruits. He will cleanse and repeatedly prune you. Our pruning will continue until we enter heaven. The more He is able to have His ways in our life, the more fruits we will bear for Him.
God wants us to graduate from doing a good enough jobs to doing excellent jobs. This level of excellence will be achieved by removing all manner of dross in our lives. Gold does not become a substance of value without passing through fire.
