What I experience about zombies from a video game Resident Evil: Revelations and media the Walking Dead. In the Zombie World, when a person dies he or she becomes a zombie later on and you have to killed it. Be warned: what kills the person makes it resurrects stronger as a zombie.
Due to the population of dead people there will be so many zombies out there as it's make sense because when you're in battle you may encounter some zombies or too many of them to take out by yourself or with a group. The same thing happen to me in Resident Evil:Revelations so what I had to do is use my grenades on them when they are close to each other and killed the zombies with weapons in front of me and look behind me to see if there are any zombies in case so that my character don't get bitten or scratch after killing and dealing with some zombies I see in front of me.
For strategy in combat, you will need a limit of 3 weapons with you which could be guns or something else included, plenty of ammo cases for each types of guns you own in case you run out of bullets faster, and will need grenades against a hordes of zombies. You're also need good or very good accuracy and need to be strong to survive the Zombie World.
