Miserable Men

If you have read my blog about selfish women who become single mothers by donor sperm, here is a story about miserable men who become fathers when they are grandfathers. A well-known actor got married at the age of 63 to someone half his age who then produced him two children. One is now three and the other is one year old.

By the time the children reach the age of 20, their father will be around 80 years old.

I am 76 years old and have 11 children???? NO, I have eleven grandchildren, the oldest of which is 15. Now, my grandchildren do not expect me to take them down the park and kick the footie around with them because grandad is well, grandad. Grandads are not expected to have that level of agility and strength. That is the role of Dads.

I am expected to be able to answer all of their questions because, well, granddads know everything. I do pretty well on that score. After all, I have three university degrees and one theological degree.

And for the younger ones, they love grandad reading them a bedtime story because he uses funny voices and funny faces.

I hope that this actor when he reaches the age of 80, realises what a mistake he has made denying his children the love and activity that most children are given by their Dad. They do not understand that when Dad is asked to take them down to the park for an energetic game of baseball, Dad saying "Sorry son, no can do. My arthritis is playing up."

Or he takes him down to the park and has to use a walking stick to be able to walk.

The fact is this actor is one big miserable man because he put himself before his wife and children. It would not surprise me if the wife divorces him at some stage because she is fed up waiting on him in his really old age. She will get the kids and half his millions. Not a bad deal to ensure she lives happily ever after.

Everything tells me that the most important thing in life is to make sure that our kids get the best deal possible. Motivated by "me first" actions is totally selfish emanating out of the idea that I do it because I can do it.

And I have just learnt that this actor has been on TV portraying a homosexual dad. Obviously had no moral content to his life.
