Meet With Others In Fellowship Each Day If Possible

The true disciple of Christ, those who have surrendered all to serve the King, are strangers in a strange land here on earth. We serve a kingdom not of this world, but instead the greatest one of all, the kingdom of heaven. However, our temporary life here on this world presses on us and can easily create worry, stress, and distract us from who we have become in Christ. This is why fellowship is essential providing an opportunity to share with fellow citizens of heaven for the building up of the Body of Christ. “Let us hold resolutely to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not neglect meeting together, as some have made a habit, but let us encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:23-25).

Yet, this gathering together is not merely a social event or weekend church gathering. Pagan Christianity (today’s Christian Religion) is not a substitute for what we need as sojourners here on earth, but instead are a product of worldly thinking and have been diluted by the spirit of this world, our adversary the devil. Even weekly bible studies centered on the intellectual study of scriptures are no substitute for what we need from a spiritual standpoint. Many will make the claim that they just do not know where to find this type of fellowship, yet they have not found it because they have not asked the Father to provide it for them. “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:7-11). “And this is the confidence that we have before Him: If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we already possess what we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15).

We all must learn to shed our worldly thinking. “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:2-3). Those who are truly in Christ are not of this world and should not seek to build our lives here in Christ based on human thinking. Trust the Holy Spirit to guide you, not mankind. “I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught” (1 John 2:26-27). There are countless so-called pastors and teachers leading those who are trapped in today’s Christian Religion into spiritual destruction. They follow and teach manmade traditions and doctrines that will lead their congregations away from the truth. “Now the Spirit expressly states that in later times some will abandon the faith to follow deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons, influenced by the hypocrisy of liars, whose consciences are seared with a hot iron” (1 Timothy 4:1-2).

We who are called according to “HIS” purpose know this to be true; it was written about long ago. “For the time will come when men will not tolerate sound doctrine, but with itching ears they will gather around themselves teachers to suit their own desires. So they will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths” (2 Timothy 4:3-4). Therefore, “Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world. The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains forever” (1 John 2:15-17). Amen!
