2 Judgment Day's where people face the Lord?
1) Judgment seat of Christ (2 Cor 5:10) = Believers Only
2 Cor 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
(MY NOTE: Cor written to believers see 1 Cor 1:2)
2) White Throne Judgment (Rev 20:11) = All that rejected Christ's sin payment & resurrection until life's end/death
1 Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
(MY NOTE: Sin is the transgression of Gods law.)
We've all broken God's law & deserve it's sentence invoked in (Rom 6:23 = DEATH).
No one can say their not a sinner until some means is provided (not to take away the law) but to remove the sin, which is the transgression of God's law.
Faith placed in Christ's sin atoning death (sins required wage PAID), burial (proof Jesus died) & resurrection (Father God's receipt, sin's required wage/payment received & accepted).
Jesus sacrifice not only takes away/removes (Matt 3:11), it & forgives/pardons sin (1 Jn 2:12): ALL of the believers sins Past-Present-Future. They're IMPUTED (Rom chap 4/Lev chap 4) onto Jesus. Jesus then imputes His righteousness on to the believer & they become the righteousness of God in/thru Christ (2 Cor 5:21)
Having had their sin removed (Rev 1:5), at the Judgment seat of Christ. The discussion is rewards, NOT, sin/judgment based.
Col 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
(MY NOTE: [Col 1:2 written to believers] When believers stand before the judgment [bema] seat of Christ. Every good work done in Christ's name, will receive a reward. Even a cold drink of water given in Jesus name (Matt 10:22). Sin judgment isn't the focus here, Jesus paid for & removed ALL the believers sins [Past-Present-Future])
1 Cor 3:8-14 Good works receive a reward. Bad or No works [hay, wood, stubble, dead - 1 Cor 3:11-15) result in shame & or loss of rewards (Matt 25:28) take the talent, I gave him, & give it to another, that worked).
1 Cor 3:15 If anyone’s work is burned up, "he will suffer loss", "though he himself will be saved"
(MY NOTE: Hay, wood & stubble deeds/bad or No works/dead [1 Cor 3:11-15] will bring, shame & loss = of REWARDS not SALVATION)

What's the litmus test for sin - The LAW!
The people at the White Throne Judgment have rejected Christ's, redemptive sin atonement. Having no cover/cloak for sin (Jn 15:22) they are judged without mercy according to every jot & tittle of the Law (Deut 28:14-60).
Everything they've ever done or said, has been "RECORDED". Every idle word ever spoken, is judged. End result, eternal separation from Creator God (2 Thes 1:9).
