Jesus In The Middle East

Status: God's got my arm over his shoulder whilst I attempt to walk.

So I was watching a program on TV a few days ago and discovered an answer to this question that I've had for a long while: How does God spread His truth to countries where people have virtually no opportunity to hear about Jesus or where Jesus is defamed like in the Middle East where Islam is the dominant and expected religion?

From what the pastors on that program said, there is a phenomenon or miracle occurring amongst many people in the Arab world where Jesus visits them in dreams and tells them to follow Him and/or to go to secret pastors at certain addresses in their hometowns to learn more about Him. People who have never heard of Jesus or were raised to believe in Islam and did not personally other otherwise know who these secret pastors (many people are killed for becoming Christian in the Middle East) were before this happened to them.

Now here in the west we are conditioned to be less spiritual and not give too much credence to our dreams. Hogwash, we say. Just a trick of the mind. However in the east, people ARE more spiritual and do pay attention to dreams and visions and don't brush them off.

Still don't believe that God could do such a thing for these people? God did it to Paul. Paul was an angry and violent man and hated Jesus and his followers. But Jesus came to him in a vision and told him to find a certain man at a certain place to learn more about Jesus. Boom, he was saved. So it is reasonable to believe these people when they say that Jesus came to them in their dreams.

One boy met with his pastor for a year before becoming baptized and when he went to tell his father his father said "Okay. I know you follow a good God". When he asked his father why he wasn't more upset, his father said to him, "I've known you were Christian since a year ago. I had put enough poison in your food to kill a camel and watched you eat it and you were unharmed. I know your God is powerful."

Another girl asked her pastor to baptize her and he asked if she was sure because she had a scholarship to go to Cambridge in England where she could be baptized safely. She told him, "If you saw the vision of Jesus that I had you would not be asking me if I was sure. I want to be baptized and follow Him as soon as possible." They found her a week later dead on the ground outside her apartment. Her mother threw her out the window. This of course is so sad and I'm glad she can be at peace in the Lord. BUT God came to her! Jesus came to her and saved her!

Take moment to think on this because it's AMAZING!!!

So the answer to my question is: If we can't get to them and evangelize, God will go to those He can save and get them Himself! Because there is NOTHING He cannot do!
