I feel like you are right. We DO and SHOULD have the right to disagree with each other. I mean, the world is full of HOW MANY BILLIONS of people? Who are we to say that WE have all the answers? Shouldn't we also want to hear other people's worldviews and see how they are figuring things out for themselves? Sure, we all might some mistakes, actually many mistakes... an abundance of mistakes. However, shouldn't we share some safe place to the right and ability to make those mistakes?
A place where we know that we aren't going to judged harshly or personally attacked. Because this is all about the journey. And we are going to make mistakes. It is actually the mistakes that make us learn and grow.
Talking about respecting eachother's points of view? If we do this, doesn't this make us better people? I mean who would want to completely dismiss somebody's point of view or what they say simply because it doesn't align with their beliefs exactly? Isn't learning, growing, and sharing what life is all about?
If I sound passionate about this, I am. Because I honestly feel that we DO NOT need to attack eachother if we have a problem with someone's point of view. Doesn't it make us BETTER people and even BETTER believers if we put out some respect and understand? Respect for the idea that others don't believe exactly like we do. Understanding for the fact that we are ALL at different roads and paces in our life and we are all where we are for a purpose. Who knows? Today's miserable challenge might turn into the next day's blessings? We shouldn't judge and we shouldn't presume we know just because we have the audacity to think the we are the best.
We need to LISTEN more, we need a little bit more RESPECT, and a bit more understanding. We are all sinners. Nobody is perfect. We are going to sin today and tomorrow. We have God in that we have his forgiveness. Standing on moral high ground saying your better than this person or that person -or- believing that your view of God or Christianity is higher and more valuable than somebody else's? We need to step back and realize we are all brothers and sisters in God's kingdom. How about a little more tolerance for other views?
