Beer...

Guinness estimates that in the U.K. 93 000 litres of beer are lost in beards every year

Beer drunk first thing in the morning tends to be frowned on generally however Frederick the great advised his subjects in 1777 to drink beer in the morning instead of coffee. And whilst we are talking coffee did you know the Dark Matter coffee company in Chicago uses a coffee bean that is kept in former beer barrels?

The oldest brewery in the U.K. Is Shepherd Neame which began in 1698 and still brews today.
