I Read Somewhere That A Fanatic Is Someone Who Can't Change Their Mind Or The Subject

  1. In other news, it seems I've discovered a new application of the trinity in the mystery that's engulfed me for almost a decade. There are some things that only God can be the example, in which no parable from creation can teach at all, not too many things ... but some.

I have always heard a different definition for "fanatic." Someone who loves God more than you do...!

I think I was paraphrasing a Winston Churchill quote.

"Fanatic" is the term from which "Fan" is developed; as in "I am a football Fan." It is not in any sense a challenge between individuals as to who does "x" better or worse than another.

And how would one know if they love God more than anyone else loves God?

"And how would one know if they love God more than anyone else loves God...?"
It is a standard Christian witticism.
