I am feeling unforgiven.

I wrote a blog earlier about us forgiving ourselves this is about God forgiving us. More specifically the feelings of unforgivness. I think we can all say that in some point in our lives we have all felt this, correct? :(

First thing that needs to be known out in the open is that the enemy will load guilt on top of us. He will instill fear and twiste our feelings in any way that he can to make us feel and believe that we are unforgiven.

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and I have fought my feelings for years.. Im telling you from experiance my friends, feelings are not reality. They are not always what holds truth in our lives.

Im actually gonna go off and say it rarely holds truth but I go by this through my personal experiance.

What we need to do is cast away these feelings of unforgivness which hold no truth or basis of reality and hold onto the one thing that is truth.

Do you know what that is?? ;)

Well if you havent guessed it, it is the Word of God. We need to hold onto these promises that God is more than willing to forgive us of our sins.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
John 1:9
What we need to do is repent from our sins and not only ask for forgivness and the cleansing of our sins but we must also recieve it and accept it. Now you may ask

"didnt I recieve it just by asking"? Maybe so, but you need to recieve it with Faith

I wanna share this short story about how I had one of these episodes. I have struggled with lust at points in my walk with God, one day after a good fight, I gave in to my flesh. I went for a walk by the water and I poured out my eyes to the Lord, When I got back this wave of feelings of unforgivness slammed in my face and with my Ocd it didnt help one bit, to say the least. I went up to my room and asked Him to forgive me, but this feeling was so powerful that it was overcoming me in a very unatural way. No doubt the enemy was at work here. I fought it with my faith. After a while I just fought it and accepted that no matter what I feel I am forgiven.

God delivered me from this because I by faith recieved His cleansness and forgivness. I thought of it more of a test, but you see we cant just ask for it, we need to take it from God as well. Than you need to forgive yourself and move on with your life. Ask God to teach you to Walk in the Spirit so you will not fullfill the lusts of the flesh.

This is a true story and I felt pretty overhwlmed by the power of my feelings of condemnation.

So my brothers and sisters do not give in to these feelings of unforgivness, this also includes feelings of being condemned, God not really there, God not loving you and so forth. They are just feelings they are part of the enemys playground used us to lose our Faith in the Lord.

I leave you with a few scriptures about Gods awesome loving Mercy.

"...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."
Romans 3:23-26

"You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,
Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.
Oh, turn to me, and have mercy on me!"

Psalm 86:15-16

“The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin...."
Exodus 34:6-7

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1John 1:9
Do not forget since He has shown us Mercy He expects you to demonstrate mercy as well...

"...for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life."
1 Timothy 1:15-16

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do."
Colossians 3:12-13

Peace be with you brothers and sisters, may Gods love fill your lives
