When coming up with an idea, do not just write the name of the idea. Write the name of the idea and write down details for it so you can know how to used that idea in the game. If you don't write the details of an idea you just brainstorm then you won't be able to imagine the use of that idea which isn't being creative. As you begin to describe ideas you just brainstorm then you begin to be imaginative and creative at the same time.
