Acts Of The Apostles 9
He Preached Boldly

Paul, Apostle Of Christ

He was commanded by The Lord to preach the gospel. Before his divine encounter with The Lord on the Road to Damascus (Acts of the Apostles 9) and before his conversion, Paul, then known as Saul, was a zealot and a "Pharisee of Pharisees" who intensely persecuted the followers of Jesus. He was subsequently transformed. He was approved by the Apostles. He fulfilled his calling. Given his past, from whence he came, Paul, Apostle of Christ, believed he was given a new lease on life. He used that new lease, along with his re-birth and faith in Christ, and he preached boldly in the name of Jesus.

He Preached Boldly

27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus. —Acts of the Apostles 9:27

He Referred To Himself As The Chief Sinner

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. —1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)

He Discouraged Politics, Yet Encouraged Submission to Authorities (He Also Said, "Love Your Neighbor" And "Put On Christ")

1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: 4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil. 5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake. 6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. —Romans 13:1-7 (KJV)

He Referred To Himself As A Bondservant Of The Lord

1 Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God —Romans 1:1 (KJV)

A Missionary Giant

Paul is responsible for about 28% of the total word content of the New Testament of the Holy Bible. He was an Apostle (though not one of the Twelve Apostles) who taught the gospel of the Christ to the first century world. Paul is generally considered one of the most important figures of the Apostolic Age. He founded several churches in Asia Minor and Europe. By virtue of his status as a Jew and a Roman citizen he used his advantage to minister to both Jewish and Roman audiences. Paul was an Apostle of Christ.
