Growth By Genuine Miracles

The early church grew not by gimmicks but by genuine miracles

‘And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch....And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women’. (Acts 5:12, 14 KJV)

The greatest puller of the crowd for the early church was the Acts of God in her midst. Signs and wonders are the greatest announcers of God's presence and approval with a people. More than what any social media can do, signs and wonders announce God's power in unmistaken terms!

For the early church, there were no gimmicks but genuine miracles which led to geometrical growth! In Acts 3 one miracle brought the addition of 5000 souls recorded in Acts 4. In Acts 5 another set of miracles brought multitudes that cannot be numbered! Now, one genuine miracle will do more for the church than 1000 tweets can do! Why? It is because the works of God (signs) proves the words of God. Signs and wonders are the evidence that the word is alive and is not a storybook!

The works of God proves the words of God. And wherever there are proves people are moved - moved towards God!

Now look at this scripture, 'when the PEOPLE inside SAW him walking and heard him praising God, and realized he was the lame beggar they had seen so often at the Beautiful Gate, they were inexpressibly surprised! They ALL RUSHED OUT to Solomon's hall where he was holding tightly to Peter and John! Everyone stood there AWED by the wonderful thing that had happened. Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd...'(Acts 3:9-11 The Living Bible).

People will always rush in the direction of wherever they see amazing things! The church must once again become a citadel for amazing signs and wonders! A citadel for amazing things that will command the attention of the world!
