"We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose." (Romans 8:28 AMPC)
The kind of knowing here must be experiential. The experiential knowledge of whom God is will give us a different level of confidence. The confidence that makes us to rest on His promises and plans for our lives. Actually what He has in store for us are unimaginable! Eyes have not seen them, ears have not heard them before, they are new, exceptional and divine.
Joseph knew this truth while at Potiphar's and in prison. He had confidence in God who revealed his destiny to him early in life. You will become frustrated without heavenly vision for your life. You must seek His face for a clear direction and vision. Joseph knew where he was going simply because God graciously revealed it to him. He will do same for you today if you seek His face.
Once this important component is settled in your life and you are cooperating with God by loving Him and abstaining from sin, all things will continue to work together for your good. Wether they seem good or evil from human perspective, they will turn out good for you. You will be operating on a different pedestal altogether.
There is nothing that will arbitrarily happen to you, everything would have been thoroughly scrutinized by your loving heavenly Father. There is always a lesson in every experience He allows to come your way.
ACTION PLAN: As a child of God, stop labelling events as good or bad. You need to understand that God is in charge and He will make everything to work out for your good.
PRAYER: Father, bring me into the glorious experience of knowing that all things will work for my good.
