God's Faithfulness To Us In An Associate Ministry

In 1995 I received a telephone call from a Pastor's wife asking if I could help her husband in their AOG church because he was struggling in the work. I agreed to preach when invited and I was invited the next Sunday,morning and evening. Then I was invited again and to lunch out after the morning service. The Pastor said he was desirous of having someone to help him with the pastoral side of the church. He asked if I would accept an invitation to be His Associate Pastor. We spent three happy years there in a small country village. I led on Sunday mornings and he spoke and he led on Sunday evenings and I spoke. I was working nights with Royal Mail and early evenings at a school as a Cleaning Supervisor. My blood pressure was high and I was diagnosed with diabetes 2. I was doing too much. The Pastor finished his Doctorate studies and was able to continue fully in his pastorate We left in 2008 and fellowshipped with our local AOG Church near where we live.
