God's Faithfulness Through An Old Friend.

In 1999 my elderly retired friend"s wife went to be with the LORD and I regularly visited him twice a week after postal delivery. I would take him out in the car and visit places in our beautiful County. In 2000 he said,'What are you doing on Sunday evening? I said,'We only meet on Sunday morning'. He said,'Would you come to our church this Sunday evening?' This was the church I had pastored. They had a new Pastor so I agreed to go along. It was very disappointing to see only fourteen people there and after a few weeks I wanted to help the new Pastor and encourage my friend. I started going there regularly,Sunday morning and evening,Midweek meeting,prayer and even an afternoon midweek meeting. My mistake was in going,when my wife did not want to go,but stayed at the Christian Fellowship. After fifteen months things were being distant between my wife and I and I knew I must leave and go to church with her. I did so and a church was starting in the village hall where we live and we started going there together. I am pleased to say that the church I left got another Pastor and things are much better there now after many years. My Mother had died in 2000 of diabetes and renal difficulties. She was a very dear Mother to me and my Brother and Sister. I continued to befriend my elderly friend,until he went to be with the LORD at the age of 93.
