When I was nearly fourteen years of age,in 1965,I was invited to a youth event,at the local Assemblies of God Church,of the New Town in which I lived. The ex pop singer Terry Dene was sharing his testimony of new life found in Christ and singing for the LORD. After the gospel message by Evangelist Dennis Robson a gospel appeal was given and I confessed my faith in
Jesus Christ as Saviour and LORD. As a child I had 'given my heart to the LORD,but the real assurance of salvation came at that youth rally and I began to grow in the Christian life and enter into service for the King. I realised that I was a sinner and had fallen short of the glory of God and turned from my sin to Him,starting a new life in Christ. I have never been the same since!
