God Is Our Faithful Rescuer

'They say,'God has forsaken him. Pursue and seize him,for no one will rescue Him' (Psalms 71:11)..........The Psalmist was subject to the mocking and jeering of his enemies. 'God has forsaken him,'they said,but they were wrong! The devil is a liar and so are his evil demons and evil ones. He tries to tell us, that God has forsaken us,but that is not the truth. God is with us! God is for us! God is our refuge and strength! He has always been our help! He is our Saviour and LORD and we are 'persuaded that He is able to keep that which we have committed to Him against that day'. He keeps us as we trust in His free gift of salvation and blessing on our life........We can say like Jesus when He was tempted by the devil in the wilderness,'It is written'. God's Word is the truth we should listen to,not the lies of the evil one. The devil desires to 'write us off',but Christ Jesus is our rescuer. The devil would say,'Pursue him and seize him,for no one will rescue him,but our Lord came,that we might be delivered,from the curses of the evil one. He has lifted us up from our sin and degradation. Our sin was dealt with at the cross of Calvary. We accept His sacrifice,repent of our sin and cling to Him. We are:- 'On the victory side! On the victory side! No for can daunt me,no fear can haunt me,on the victory side. On the victory side! On the victory side,with Christ within,the fight we'll win,on the victory side!' (Gospel chorus)
