Update 02/03/2020
After 2 weeks of 24:7 home care by me, washing her, exercising her muscles, rolling her to prevent bed sores, full body baths and much more, she aspirated on some spit up. I had her taken to ER. She was immediately given negative feedback by all the medical staff. She never returned home after 6 weeks of ICU in Roswell then acute care in Albuquerque. I was only able to visit her a few times due to no money and cancelled promised rides to the hospital. The hospital sent her to Albuquerque the Friday before Christmas and I was never able to get to see her in person. The nurses were kind enough to let me FaceTime with her twice.
I have no income of my own now because my last 6 years has been devoted to Gma’s life, health and care. I’ve applied for a number of job with no success. I was diagnosed with cancer 2 years ago, without time for myself or anyone to care for Gma, dogs and home if I’d gone for surgery, etc.
No idea what I’ll do now... I don’t have friends in this town. I just wanna get back to Texas where I know more people to just live my last days.
