Charles Darwin, the supposed father of evolution, believed in a Creator. The older and wiser he became the more this was demonstrated in his writings. I hope this in some small part demonstrates the difference about what secular science credits Charles Darwin with versus what he actually described or believed. I believe Darwin would be offended by the notion of his observations undermining truths we cannot yet understand. He said as much when he stated…
“To my mind it accords better with what we know of the laws impressed on matter by the Creator, that the production and extinction of the past and present inhabitants of the world should have been due to secondary causes, like those determining the birth and death of the individual.” –Charles Darwin
Charles Darwin also asked the following:
“Have we any right to assume that the Creator works by intellectual powers like those of man?”
Given that we are human, I would like to begin with a study of God’s word in the first book of the Bible, Genesis. This comprehensive study will have many parts and will culminate in a fresh perspective of the creation of all matter, the dinosaurs, extinction events, and the origin of the human species.
Lastly, given that Charles Darwin was an observer, I have an observation question. Should Darwin be credited with the theory of macro/micro evolution (more on this later) or did Darwin merely observe a law of nature that God created? Who should get the credit the observer or the Creator? I think it entirely plausible to take an educated guess as to what Charles Darwin would answer if posed this question.
