For The Wisdom Of This World Is Foolishness In God’s Sight

Since mankind’s first act of disobedience in the garden there has been a desire to gain knowledge and wisdom to equal that of our creator, the Almighty God. Satan, when confronting Eve in the garden, said, “You will not surely die, for God knows that in the day you eat of it (the fruit), your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” (Genesis 3:4-5). The adversary, the devil, was instrumental in mankind’s fall in the beginning, and he continues to be instrumental with his half-truth’s to lead mankind away from the fullness of the spiritual truths of heaven. Spiritual wisdom does not come through our cognitive efforts to gain knowledge and wisdom. The outcome of these efforts will produce nothing more than a cognitive form of knowledge and wisdom that most equate to some sort of spiritual intelligence. However, the wisdom of mankind, no matter how great, equates to absolutely nothing when it comes to spiritual wisdom and understanding concerning truths of the kingdom of heaven.

Therefore, true spiritual wisdom is not something that can be gained through cognitive studying, memorizing, and saturation of information as this world teaches us how we should learn. If we are in Christ we are no longer of this world and must learn to gain spiritual wisdom and knowledge through the guidance of the Holy Spirit as He will teach us all things, and what He teaches us will not be half-truths as Satan would offer through worldly practices. Those who have been spiritually transformed, dying to this world to become alive as citizens of heaven, will not trust in ourselves to find these truths. Instead, we will, by faith, trust that the Lord Himself through the power of the Holy Spirit will teach us all we need to know here in this world. He will equip us to be His humble servants because He promised to do so and in Him there is no lie. Yet, this is contrary to what is being taught and practiced by countless counterfeit Christians who remain lost in this dying world. They are deceived and continue to deceive many in their misguided manmade local church system found all around this world.

“Do you not know that you yourselves are God’s temple, and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple. Let no one deceive himself. If any of you thinks he is wise in this age, he should become a fool, so that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.” And again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” (1 Corinthians 3:16-20). “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2). “For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you. Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are many are one body, and each member belongs to one another.” (Romans 12:3-5).
