This question comes up often, so I decided to post my recommendations here:
- Find a geek-friendly church. For me it has been Vineyard Christian Fellowship and similar churches, like many Assemblies-of-God. Its newer iteration, Association of Vineyard Churches, has been a bit hit-or-miss. (I am told that Foursquare Gospel churches have a similar feel, but I have never attended one, yet.)
- Attend relevant church/Christian events as often as practical, particularly their best-fitting homegroup available.
- If you attend a secular geek-fest (like Comicons, for instance), wear something that conspicuously declares your faith (like a hat or T-shirt). This will attract other Christian geeks to introduce themselves AND, possibly, open doors to share your faith...!
