"Then He [thoroughly] opened up their minds to understand the Scriptures," (Luke 24:45 AMPC)
Jesus met two of His disciples on their way to Emmaus. He joined their company and was discussing with them. The first issue was that they did not recognise who He was. They were still sad about His death, meanwhile He was risen. The devil may keep you perpetually sad over a matter that calls for rejoicing due to ignorance. Ignorance is probably one of the most potent weapon of the devil against the church. The saying that knowledge is power holds true even in spiritual context. The devil blinded their eyes from beholding the risen Lord.
But the Lord understand their predicament, he initiated a conversation with them. His conversation with them exposed their ignorance. Are you willing to converse with Jesus in order to expose your ignorance, or the devil has deceived you to cleverly hide it? Ignorance is not an excuse in the court of law. This is true even in the heavenly court, you are inexcusable for not understanding God's mind through His word.
Jesus laboured thoroughly to open the understanding of these disciples. He is the same yesterday, today and forever, He will do same for you today, through the Holy Spirit, if you allow Him.
ACTION PLAN: Expose your ignorance to the King of Kings today, He will open your understanding about the will of God for your life.
PRAYER: Father, deliver me from the bondage of ignorance. Open my understanding to your plan for my life.
