Exodus 11 -- We Will Take The Kingdom By Force

1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Yet will I bring one plague more upon Pharaoh, and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go hence: when he shall let you go, he shall surely thrust you out hence altogether. God played Pharaoh. You start with some toxic algal bloom, followed by frogs, lice, and flies. Seriously, not a very terrifying attack. More like a cat playing with a mouse. But God was deadly serious. He wanted to expose all the sins, step by step, concluding with the biggest sins. 2 Speak now in the ears of the people, and let every man borrow of his neighbour, and every woman of her neighbour, jewels of silver and jewels of gold. This picture of the rapture being like a thief in the night is not appreciated as much as it should be. In the US 44% don’t pay income taxes. So the country is being supported by the 56% that are working and paying taxes. Now imagine that one third of them are raptured. It might only be 10% of the US population, but a third of the workers. This will put all businesses in the country into complete disarray as well as being a crushing blow to projected tax revenue. Not only will most businesses lose a major portion of their workforce, they will also lose a significant portion of their customers. A lot of Christians believe the rapture takes place at the end of the tribulation. But at that point everything is already destroyed and lost, how would the rapture be “like a thief in the night”?
