Everlasting Possession

"Happy and blessed are the people who are in such a case; yes, happy (blessed, fortunate, prosperous, to be envied) are the people whose God is the Lord!" (Psalm 144:15 AMPC)

The million dollar question is "is the Lord my God, is He the Lord of ALL to me?" How about you, my friend, is He your God? For the Lord to be our God, we must live our lives according to His principles. We must trust Him in everything.
Our joy and happiness in life must depend on Him. He must become our everlasting Portion and Possession in life. One of the things that brings sadness to us in this life and makes us moody is when our right and possession is either taken away or under the threat of being taken away. Wherever our treasure is, there our hearts will be there also. In order to be happy and joyful in this life, we must let go of everything else and cling unto God alone. We can then joyfully sing the hymn below:
Thou my everlasting Portion,
More than friend or life to me,
All along my pilgrim journey,
Savior, let me walk with Thee.
Chorus: Close to Thee, close to Thee,
Close to Thee, close to Thee;
All along my pilgrim journey,
Savior, let me walk with Thee.

ACTION PLAN: We must let go of everything in our hearts and place God at the centre of our hearts.

PRAYER: Father, uproot every affection and devotion to anything earthly from my heart. Occupy my heart with Your fullness.
