In today's world there seems to be a lot of complaints over separation of church and state, where churches demand a say in government but want government to stay clear of churches.
What many of these people forget is that God also wants nothing to do with man's government or man's politics.
Man's ways are not God's ways, and rarely, if ever, do we see God's ways used in political debate, let alone many churches. They do however use God to justify and suit themselves. But that is not the same as changing themselves to suit the will of God.
Luke 16: 15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
