Alverten froze in alarm. At least he did not drop the water or spill any, he realized soon after. He did not think he could outrun this creature, if he tried. But the Big Hairy was in repose sitting there, watching, seemingly with interest, and still not moving from that place. Then the Big Hairy grabbed a few of the berries growing on the shrubs around here, and putting them to his mouth then started chewing them, still watching.
Then Alverten remembered that he had just asked Yahweh for a sign that he would have assurance that he and the people now living in this place were not going to be threatened by the Big Hairy that dwelt near their new area. What sign could there be? And he had asked for it. With awareness that he carried the container with the water he could carry back, he started moving on, to the small settlement with its few first homes. And he came back safely, without incidence.
The home of this new place, which they called Elepacifa, had the newly built home structures closer together than the way homes in Ariyah had been. This was probably a good arrangement for here, where they did need each other to continue on, there. Alverten saw Finarelem there first, he was still without anything he wore on his feet, just the way his wife was. Alverten told him, "I just saw the Big Hairy, right by the spring! That Big Hairy was watching, but did not do anything. Besides eating berries there."
Finarelem said, "We must be safe here among wild animals then because we leave all animals alone. We know other peoples around places we had been do not still do that anymore. We might remain safe with still living this way. Let us go to Hillariah and Jecharon and you can tell them this."
