So we have covered at some length the various issues surrounding receiving the Holy Spirit, I would like to conclude this blog series on the actual how.
I am aware the Holy Spirit is covered at length in scriptures from a variety of authors.
We know the Holy Spirit makes an appearance in scripture as early as Genesis 1:2 in the creation account. And the last reference of the Holy Spirit in scriptures is found in Revelation 22:17. So from the beginning to the end, the Holy Spirit is present in our world and in the lives of all.
The interesting thing to consider is the Holy Spirit even works in the lives of unbelievers, though they do not acknowledge the Lord. For he is the one who draws us to Jesus and creates within the repentance necessary for salvation.
Now perhaps you are reading this as someone who believes the receiving of the Holy Spirit is limited to just the salvation experience, or that the gifts of the Spirit are no longer in operation. It is exactly to you that I write this blog post.
To everyone else, I pray my words will only further your dependence upon the Holy Spirit.
My next blog post will begin this final part.
