Criticism Of President Trump

  1. I wonder if the same "Christians" that are criticizing President Trump spend as much time praying for him as they do criticizing him. I have read in 1 Timothy 2:1-3 how that praying for those in authority is to be done by Christians and that this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. I don't remember reading anywhere where we are to be criticizing the leaders of our countries in this world. Numbers 11:1 says "And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD hear it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp." The next verse says that when Moses PRAYED unto the LORD, the fire was quenched. Maybe there is some wisdom in this for us to apply to Christians criticizing President Trump. Since Psalms 75:6-7 and Daniel 4:17 both speak of how it is God that raises people up to positions of authority and power, maybe Christians should be more careful with their criticisms of President Trump.

The quotation marks on Christian in the opening sentence I thought was a nice touch, because for eight years under the last President? No one ever seemed to think continuously criticizing the President was an indication you might not be a Christian. quite the opposite actually. :D
tulc(is always amazed at how simply having an "R" instead of a "D" after someones name changes...well everything)

I prayed for all the presidents but this one is the first one I've had an actual desire to pray for and what some judge as faults I see as assets in the man ..

Mr. Franklin Graham's prayer before the recent President Trump Rally in Phoenix, Arizona.

God bless the Unites States of America. :unitedstates: God bless the President, Vice President, members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate. God bless the governors of the various U.S. States; and all government leaders, federal, state, and local. God bless the men and women in the United States Armed Forces. May every one of them always seek wise council from the LORD who is KING of KINGS and LORD of LORDS. Praise the LORD. In the power of the Holy Spirit. God's will be done. In Jesus' name. Amen!

Praying to him? You might think he's a saint. I don't.

Praying FOR him, not TO him. We need all the prayers we can get as a country. So does our President.
