While contemplating how great the Lord is and how we are, an idea occurred to me that humans are like moths. Short lives, simple in comparison, not much intellect. Always seeing that hot lamp (sin, mistakes, foolishness) and keep going towards it, getting burnt only to do it over and over.
When seeing the true light, God and His glory that lightbulb becomes less attractive.
UPDATE:
Immediately after posting this I witnessed my youngest child hurt himself twice, by doing the same act. He then comes running to me to comfort him. I am thankful for the Lord's wisdom and mercy. That He comforts me when I have been foolish amd caused my own problems.
