Conspiracies??

For most of my life, and for all of my Christian life, I have resisted believing in conspiracies. This is not because I think that such things do not exist (I am convinced that there is an ongoing Satanic conspiracy to lead men into revolt against God). My hesitancy is based on the fact that such things inevitably lead to extreme and dangerous nuttiness on the part of the advocates.

Recently I have begun to adjust my views. I now think that there are at least two valid conspiracies, both of which effect the Christian camp in destructive ways. The first has to do with the robbing of God's people of the word of truth and the 'tritely dividing of the people of God' on the part of Diss-sensational-ism (more here). The second has to do with a similar dividing of believers according to the elitist mindset of the KJV only fanatics (more here).

Both of these tend to be rabidly opposed to and exclusive of anyone who does not agree with them. In many Churches (if we can call them that) to reject either or both of these is to be a pariah and an outcast. I know because I have been the victim of both.
