I was thinking over the power of confession, in that sins are dissolved through confessing them to God and trusting in His faithfulness to do so.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
And the thought came to me, wouldn't it be an interesting tactic for the sin living in the body (Re: Romans 7) were to invent the idea of an ambiguous unforgivable sin? It would take the mind off of confession for a while for certain.
Maybe that's all it was about when I went through that.
I find confessing the deeper sins more difficult since they haven't been translated to words or actions yet, but it's just like a dark light without a prism, it takes discernment for sure.
