The scriptures tell us that part of God's plan is for Jesus to return to this earth sometime in the near future to rule and then judge both the living and the dead. He will then establish eternal peace in a new heaven and a new earth. Jesus said, "The Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward each person according to what he has done" (Matthew 16:27). One day while Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately to ask Him a question. "Tell us," they said, "when will all this happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered, "See to it that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. "This generation will not pass away until all these things have taken place" (Matthew 24:34).
We see these things happening in the world all around us today, and as birth pains, they are increasing in number and frequency. In Matthew chapter 24 Jesus said, "So if they tell you, 'There He is in the wilderness,' do not go out; or, 'Here He is in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. At that time, the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. Moreover, He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. The Lord will come like a thief in the night and the most important question is are you ready?
God has designed a great and loving plan for the salvation of mankind offering a condemned world the good news (Gospel) and this is the only way to eternal life and redemption. "For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). Why would anyone reject the gospel, God's gift of love? If you truly know Him, you must live a life in full surrender to His will for your life. "Whoever claims to abide in Him must walk as Jesus walked" (1 John 2:6). I pray God will bless your life and I look forward to spending eternity with each of you forevermore.
