Christ's Sacrifice <vs> Devil's Contract

Once upon a time there was a man...oh... let's call this man... "R.Kelly."

R. Kelly sold his soul to the devil for fame and riches here.

All was going well with R. Kelly, until he realized his grave error.

He contacted the Devil again and the Devil waved the contract in front of his face and told him the deal was done and nothing could be done, R. Kelly's soul was property of Reprobate Inc.

R. Kelly grew desperate and looked for a way out. He remembered hearing about Jesus and how Jesus had the power to forgive sins.

R. Kelly heard the gospel, believed in the name of Jesus, on the power of his blood to wash away the sins of the world, in his ressurection unto life eternal, was baptised by the holy spirit, and had his old nature circumcised. He was now restarting life as a brand new creature, a Christian.

As he was feeling better, the devil appeared to him again to remind him of the contract.

R. Kelly politely told the devil that he was with Jesus now and this allegience should nullify the contract, as Jesus said it would.

Well, the devil, as clever as he is, insisted that that was impossible. The devil insisted that Christ's blood could not possibly be enough because he had already made R. Kelly rich and famous...

Though the devil was a liar with no truth in him, he must certainly not be lying now, for it was all so true. The services had been rendered, payments had been made, transactions had gone through.

This startled R. Kelly. Was there no escape? Was his faith a lie? Was Jesus' payment not enough? NO! In fact, to believe the Devil would make Jesus the liar.

It was all a sham. The devil wanted R. Kelly to believe that his faith wouldn't be enough to save him. Wanted him to believe that the devils contract was superior to Christ's sacrifice.

At that moment, his faith grew, and he did not regard the things he was given by the contract. They were mere illusion, to trick him into thinking he had partake in an irrevocable transaction. Jesus is sufficient for all, and R. Kelly's soul had been purchased once for all by Jesus.

However, had R Kelly submitted to the yolk of Satan by deferring to the contract instead... things may have not gone so well for his soul... who knows?

The moral of the story is that your faith in Jesus must supersede all deceptions of the world. A world constantly warring to keep you from holding a single grain of faith no larger than a mustard seed. For with it you will conquer the Devil. The one in you is greater than the one in this world, and over this world will he give you victory from sin and death.

AMEN
