When I become discouraged and give up, it is because I have been absent in the place of prayer. If I must go on in life and accomplish all that the Lord is holding out to me, I must plead with Him to transform me into a man of prayer. Prayerlessness will make me to quit and become despondent.
When I keep looking up to Him in the place of prayer, I will become radiant and I will never suffer shame. Prayerlessness brings shame and reproach. I want to finish my race, I want to finish my course, I want to end well. This does mean that I must depend on God continually for help and strength. Total dependence on God cannot be achieved outside prayer. Prayer is the Christian's staff that will aid him to walk with God.
ACTION PLAN: Everything that will hinder my prayers I declare war against them today. Either they are minor or major.
PRAYER: Pour on me, oh Lord, the spirit of prayer and supplication, deliver me from prayerlessness.
