Far be it for me to have a complaint concerning the grammar of the Bible.. but I admit that I do. But I do hope that it will be adjusted once I gain understanding concerning it.

    But, until then..

In all my life of learning to speak English., in all of the books that I've read, a person is a "whosoever", not a "whatsoever". And yet, in the King James Bible Version 1Jn.5:4 it says "Whatsoever is born of God.."

The word translated "whatsoever" is intended for all, any, every.. the whole of. In Mat.7:6 it says, "whatever is holy." .."Give not that which is holy unto the dogs." Fine. It's talking about a thing.

But humans are not things, they, we are persons.

Lk.12:8 says, "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God." I wonder if Jesus is going to tell the Father that another whatsoever just got born of God.
