Pithy – Unique – Catchy – Startling - Strange - Bible Verses

  1. Blog Description

By the end of this year (2020), I will be close to reading the Bible in one year for the first time. My Bible is now full of side notes. On the front and back blank pages, I labelled themes as I read along to note corresponding Bible verses. From core doctrines to curiosities, I have found this thematic approach to be energizing. Nothing seems too big to focus on nor too small to ignore. I have several miscellaneous/grab bag categories. One category started as “Pithy Verses” and morphed to the still-expanding title you now see. I share such verses here. Clearly, what strikes me might not impress another. That is the marvelous thing about the Scriptures: verses speak to us at our point of need. I trust that some of the my posts will overlap with someone else’s impressions from time to time.
