  1. Just Checking In.........God Bless./ This was sent via e-mail to me.

A minister passing through his church In the middle of the day, Decided to pause by the altar And see who had come to pray. Just then the back door opened, A man came down the aisle, The minister frowned as he saw The man hadn't shaved in a while. His shirt was kind a shabby And his coat was worn and frayed, The man knelt, he bowed his head, Then rose and walked away. In the days that followed, Each noon time came this chap, Each time he knelt just for a moment, A lunch...
  2. Just thought this was worth posting/ sent to me via e-mail

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary. My confession: I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit up, bejeweled trees, Christmas trees.. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees. It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, 'Merry Christmas' to me. I don't think they are slighting me...
  3. Just some point to ponder.....

To celebrate growing wiser, Someone once wrote the 45 lessons life should teach us. 1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. 4. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone. 8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9....
  4. Just a ramble.

Hey, I have been all over this forum and my question is, where do you go to just talk about stuff. I have been working on getting closer to God. However things have gotten a little nuts around my home. First it was my Grandson heart murmur thing and of course he was on med for his ADHD, we haven't got the test result back, but I believe that it is going to be just fine, God has got it in his hands. While my daughter is trying to say on course with her bi-polar. And I have spent the weekend...
  5. The Lord is Crazy about you./ Sent to me via e-mail.

A member of a certain church, who previously had been attending services regularly, stopped going. After a few weeks, the preacher decided to visit him. It was a chilly evening. The preacher found the man at home alone, sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing the reason for his preachers visit, the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and waited. The preacher made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames...
  6. Allowing Gods Guidence Today.

:wave:I was thinking about choices, I thank God I know I have them. There was a time in my life that was not the case. I remember a time when I thought that on every issue, it needed to have my opinion. And most of the those opinions and choice where based on my will. Today all I have to know is that if it doesn't apply, let it fly. Or I may ask myself in 10yrs is this going to matter. Sometimes all I need is a little perspective. If I come from a God center and really say to myself WWJD...
  7. Introducing.......

Myself Hello out there in CF, I am new here and have been trying to find my way around the site. It is huge. I like it, there seem like a lot to do. I was checking out the groups, there sure are a lot of them. And they all look really good. I just don't know where to begin, I tend to follow my own drum. I have a faith and belief in God today, I never thought possible. He has done so much in my life. It is hard for me to label myself because I don't fit into a box. I feel this way and that,...
