  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

  1. News And Scoot: Dueling Narratives

Remember that the Internet is full of misinformation. Fact-check everything you hear. If an article says one thing, check to see what the opposition has to say about it. Then, don’t immediately believe said opposition, but weigh both sides carefully and determine for yourself which one is true. Especially during this pandemic (and other unrelated but co-occurring events), I’ve noticed this very disturbing trend of how there are seems to be a war between left and right-leaning information...
  2. What I Believe: Introduction

Because blogs are places where people give their opinions, and in some cases outright peddle their ideology, some posts will be all about what I believe. As an American in an age of partisanship and hyper-polarization, I must be careful in the way in which I phrase my opinions and in voicing them aloud. At times, I must strive to avoid being censored, or simply censured (isn’t English a fun language?) by keeping my opinions to myself. Well, because this blog is an extension of myself and my...
  3. News And Scoot: Introduction

Like all people with opinions, there comes a time when I must weigh in on the news. An article with this title will be about that. There isn’t much to say here, other than that I will try and limit my commentaries on news events to things that truly matter, or are particularly noteworthy. At the very least, we have 7 months of Trump (including November, December and January before Biden is inaugurated, should he win the election). So a “News and Scoot” on each and every thing Trump says and...
  4. Cloud Breakers: An Introduction

There is a phrase that “90% of everything is crap”. It was coined by Theodore Sturgeon, a science fiction writer, and it has been applied to fiction in general. Personally, I think it’s an exaggeration. I may be a cynic (an ideology incompatible with Christianity, but I’m working on getting rid of the cynicism) but even I maintain that creative and artistic talent dwells in many people, waiting to be tapped into and realized. Reformed theologians call this, “common grace”, and while I may be...
  5. From My Wordpress Blog: A Brief Introduction To The Musings

A brief introduction to the musings Copied text of post: Welcome to this blog! I am an aspiring writer in his 20s from Mississippi. The purpose of this site is to give my thoughts, opinions, and analyses derived from both a Christian worldview and my personal experiences in life. All of my opinions are my own, and I have a lot of them! So instead of talking excessively to try and articulate my opinions, I have settled for writing them down instead. As any writer will tell you, it is...
  6. My Blog Is Getting Bigger!

There's probably a better way I could have phrased that, but oh well. The point I'm trying to get across is that I now have a blog on Wordpress. I'll be trying to get my entries there onto here as well. But one thing I want anyone to note is that going from there to here, I'm not grandvizier over on Wordpress. Instead I'm the "Steward of Musings", or just "Steward". I'm trying to keep myself anonymous while giving out my opinions, yet also letting everyone I know (like the people on Facebook...
  7. Review: Parasyte

Review: Parasyte Introduction Summer is here and in the meantime I’ve done little except get a cold. Out of boredom I started looking up the conservation statuses of animals. I’ve got some woodpeckers in my backyard that are at a “Near Threatened” status, but you wouldn’t know it from how often I see them around. And on the topic of animal conservation, I want to start off this review by saying that I’m a bit of an animal lover at heart. When I was little animals fascinated me, especially...
  8. Anger and other mental problems

i struggle with not keeping my mouth shut and being wuick to judge people. Just look at my past posts for proof. I hate it so much. It feels like a disease sometimes, a disease of bitterness that can't be treated or cured with medicine because it's not a physical symptom, or something that a brain re-wiring can fix--at least not yet. I can be having an ordinary day, and then I come on CF. Someone will make me mad, whether it's a liberal Christian or an atheist. And the worst part is that...
  9. "Clockwork Angels" review

“Clockwork Angels” review WARNING: THE FOLLOWING IS AN OVERLY-LONG AND DETAILED REVIEW OF THE BOOK’S PLOT AND THEMES. This is the first time I’m ever reviewing a book. Since I read a lot as a kid, I can remember mom suggesting the idea to me that I could maybe review stuff like this. Granted, I might not be so good at it now, but isn’t it just so darn fun to give your opinions on something? :P Anyway, the book is “Clockwork Angels” by Kevin J. Anderson. And…based on the lyrics from some...
  10. My realization

I think God spoke to me not long ago. To make a long story short, I was starting to "relapse" into the usual stuff I looked at for pleasure, and although I was feeling this tug at my conscience to stop, it wasn't strong enough, I guess. But during this "process", something happened. I was going through one link to another on GQ's official website on my tablet, this time at least. For clarification, GQ is a crappy "men's" magazine that I would never subscribe to and wouldn't be caught...
  11. Acceptance vs. Change--Our identities

After almost coincidentally running into a number of transgendered brothers and sisters in Christ, and a few brothers struggling with same-sex attractions I wondered about identity and what it all was supposed to mean. I had my own identity struggles, but mine are another story. My point is that I could not for the life of me understand the complex journeys other people had taken. I could not understand that despite whatever confusions or misguidedness they had, all I could do was think...
