Are You Married, Who Is Your Husband?

"For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God." (Romans 7:2‭-‬4 NKJV)

According to God's holy scriptures what releases a woman from the bond of marriage is death. In more deeper sense, death releases us from our marriage to sin, self, Satan and even the law of Moses. We were crucified with Jesus on the Cross and that brought an end to our old lives. A dead person cannot remain married. As far as the law is concerned, we are no more. Whatever may be the demand of the law has been fulfilled in Christ Jesus.
After death, a woman is allowed to remarry. After the death of our husband, Mr Self, we are now free to marry Jesus. Jesus can now exercise authority over us. We are now under obligation to obey Him and do His biddings. We have the right to enjoy is abundant love and mercy.

ACTION PLAN: Are you married, who is your husband? Is it sin or self? Take a bold step today by requesting that the Cross of Jesus crushes them in your life.

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I request this morning that the Cross of Jesus crushes sin and self in my life. Amen.
